ในตัว Jupiter-80 มีระบบ Modeling ของเครื่องดนตรีอยู่หลายสิบแบบ ซึ่งผสานแนบแน่นกับ Behavior Modeling ซึ่งจะจดจำวิธีการเล่นของผู้เล่น และให้เสียงที่แปรเปลี่ยนไปตามความช้าเร็ว และลูกเล่นการเคาะคีย์ในรูปแบบต่างๆ

แต่นั่นเป็นเพียงแค่ส่วนหนึ่งของ Jupiter-80 เท่านั้น ด้วยระบบซินธิไซเซอร์ที่ทรงพลังที่สุดของ Roland จึงทำให้ซินธ์รุ่นนี้สามารถเล่นเสียง SuperNatural ซ้อนกันได้ถึง 9 โทน ซึ่งจะให้เสียงที่มีความ complex มากๆ และถ้าต้องการ ก็สามารถสร้างซินธ์ที่มี Oscillator ได้ถึง 27 Oscillator สร้างเสียงได้หนา และมันสุดๆ
